Fat Bike excursion and picnic breakfast in the desert of Dubai
MTB (mountain bikes) used for this excursion are also referred to as "Fatbike" because they are specially designed for driving on sand and moving grounds as they feature over-sized tires for better adherance.
After you have been picked up from your hotel early in the morning and after about 45 mins drive to the gates of the desert, your guide will equip you with your bike and a helmet.
After a few tips on how to maneuver your bike on the sand, you are ready to embark on an adventure through the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a wildlife natural reserve located in the desert of Dubai where live freely gazelles, arabian oryxes and other desert fauna.

You will cross the dunes easily thanks to the oversized wheels and tires of your bike and enjoy an action packed adventure in search of the local flora and fauna.
Halfway, you will enjoy a well deserved rest and a picnic breakfast consisting of sandwiches, fresh fruit, refreshments, hot drinks and other snacks. Comfortably installed in the shade of native forest Ghafs, your guide will explain you the multiple benefits and uses of this tree by the Bedouin populations of the region.
On the way back you can test fully your rider skills in the desert! A back-up vehicle is also available for those seeking rest.
Exact pick-up time will be sent by email after booking. Departure is usually between 7am and 8am, returning between 12 and 1pm.
